Terme di Pejo
Natural energy and wellness in Stelvio Park
- 3 thermal water springs
- High-altitude programmes for mental and physical well-being
- At the feet of Monte Vioz
The Terme di Pejo spa, deep within the Stelvio National Park, is at an altitude of 1,400 metres. Its thermal water springs up at the feet of Monte Vioz, which towers to a peak of 3,600 metres.
No fewer than three springs are found in this mountain setting, with the water of each offering its own particular characteristics. The Fonte Alpine spring, for example, consists of light water with a low mineral content and diuretic properties, while the Antica Fonte spring has iron-rich water with a medium mineral content, making it useful against anaemia. Finally, the medium-mineral Nuova Fonte spring carries a naturally effervescent water with a high carbon dioxide content, which is effective for the digestive system and liver and in treating gallstones and hypercholesterolemia.
The well-being programmes at the Terme di Pejo spa have been designed to restore a natural personal balance, combining wellness with the benefits of nature. This means that meditation, dynamic yoga and breathing exercises are offered in addition to the Aufguss ritual in the Finnish sauna, the ice waterfall, and treatments based on officinal plants and local Alpine herbs.
The thermal centre also features a wellness area, which is directly connected to the solarium zone, the fitness area, the pool area and the massage and beauty treatment zone. The line of cosmetics and the products used in the aesthetic treatments harness the soothing and hydrating properties of the mineral water of the Fonte Alpina spring, with extracts of plants and products from the area.
