Natural habitats and the silence of nature: a holiday in Val di Rabbi
Val di Rabbi is one of the most picturesque valleys of the Trentino region, featuring small villages and groups of ancient houses. It has not been changed much by man and has been preserved by the Parco Nazionale dello Stelvio. It winds along the Rabbies for about 12 Km, at elevations ranging from 800 meters to 1400 meters a.s.l.. The woods and mountains of the valley are inhabited by numerous species of animals and a rich variety of plants, flowers and minerals.
The first village on the way up the valley is Pracorno with its cottages; further up, San Bernardo, venue for a variety of public interest services.
Travelling along the stream, you will reach the Rabbi Fonti, famous for its spa with the chalybeate springs - where the royal family used to sojourn at the time of the so-called Felix Austria - and the Visitor's Centre of the Parco Nazionale dello Stelvio. Further up is the village of Piazzola, which overlooks the valley. Val di Rabbi is an uncontaminated valley, an ideal place for anyone longing for silent interaction with nature. Park guides are available for organizing activities and excursions to help discover this wonderful vacation spot.
