Roncone
Flavour of bygone times for a vacation between history and nature
Roncone has not lost its characteristic style typical of the age-old town-communities overloooking the Adanà stream (where you can fish). Protected by walls alternated with squares and granite fountains, paved pathways, entrances and houses are frescoed with sacred motifs. In 1958 it was the first Trentino village to be linked with Malga Avalina and Malga Pozze farmhouses via a milk duct 5700 metres long. A farming and industrial centre, it also has managed to develop an interesting wood handcraft and a tourism offer with various accommodation facilities in hotels, farm-houses, restaurants with local cuisine, apartments and vacation houses. The sporting facilities include a permanent course for motocross, bowls area, tennis court, minigolf, gym.
The upper part of the village is dominated by the Parish Church of Santo Stefano, from where an eagle eye view sweeps over Lake Idro.
