SAN VILI HIKING TRAIL

The Cammino San Vili is a route that connects Madonna di Campiglio to Trento and follows the itinerary of Bishop Vigilio da Trento's work of evangelising the Giudicarie Valleys at the end of the 4th century AD. In 2018, the Sarca River Park, the largest network of protected areas in the autonomous province of Trento, developed a sustainable tourism project along the route by creating a network of accommodation facilities and coordinating the various public and private entities that are involved in the over 100 km of the route.

Cammino San Vili Special Week 3rd edition

In 2021, the idea was born to make Cammino San Vili accessible to visually impaired people. The hope was that it would raise awareness in the communities crossed by the path of the mountains' inclusiveness and accessibility. This is how the Cammino San Vili Special Week was born, a festival of events and walks along the 110 km trail to raise awareness and create friendships.

From 3 to 8 September 2024, a group of people with visual and non-visual disabilities will walk along the 100 km Cammino San Vili, led by the mountain guide Filippo Zibordi.

SAN ROCCO HIKING TRAIL

The Cammino di San Rocco is a hiking trail where history, culture and nature intertwine along ancient paths and small villages. It crosses the municipalities of lesser-known villages such as Mori, Ronzo-Chienis, the rural Val di Gresta and the Brentonico plateau.

This Cammino was born from a community experience, a guarantee of welcoming any diversity. A path that aims to be a vehicle for slow and sustainable tourism capable of valorizing the work of small agriturismo and mountain farms and, on the other hand, has great environmental value since this itinerary ensures that paths, very numerous in the valleys, are kept clean and passable.

Together on the Cammino di San Rocco. Steps of inclusion, 1st edition

With this initiative, the Compagnia Cammino di San Rocco partnership with AbilNova Social Cooperative aims to offer an experience of socialisation, exchange and mutual enrichment. It is an opportunity for the blind and visually impaired to access the mountains, but even more so for the community to approach and learn about the theme of visual impairment through a series of events. From 10 to 14 September, the group will experience the itinerary with mountain guides and operators experienced in managing trips for people with sensory disabilities.

Accessible mountain trails in the Brenta Dolomites

Since last June, a barrier-free path in the Madonna di Campiglio area has led visitors, in about 45 minutes, from the Patascoss area to one of the most enchanting and beloved places in the region: Lake Nambino. The 1.8 km long path starts from the Patascoss alpine pasture and, through a strip of woodland, reaches the destination at 1,718 metres above sea level. The initiative is a virtuous example of a model gaining ground in Madonna di Campiglio and the Adamello Brenta Natural Park. In Madonna di Campiglio, a second barrier-free path can be explored, the 5.3 km long path that leads from Patascoss to panoramic Malga Ritorto, a magnificent natural balcony: shaded and flat, the road, almost wholly paved (except for the last 100 metres of dirt road) and closed to traffic, is also suitable for wheelchairs.
