Altopiano della Paganella is the ideal place for active holidays both in summer and in winter. The entire area is also very well suited to family holidays thanks to the many hotels with kids as a key focus, to always varied events and entertainment.
Molveno is famous for its lake of clear waters which reflect the Brenta Dolomites. In 2021 it won first place among the Italian lakes in the Touring Club and Legambiente ranks. Andalo on the other hand enjoys a good and proper sporting citadel, with its ice-skating stadium, the swimming pools and the wellness centre ACQUAIN. On the entire Altopiano della Paganella famous champions hold sport courses and training sessions.
The region is located within the Adamello Brenta Nature Park - UNESCO World Heritage Site - and offers countless excursion possibilities, from the more simple to the more demanding: leisurely walking paths for the family, mountain biking trails, uphill climbs to the mountain huts and via ferratas. This setting of turrets and spires, good and proper natural cathedrals, is ideal for trekking at an altitude.
In winter the Altopiano della Paganella is a top of the line skiing area, easy to get to, only 15 minutes from the Brennero motorway. The Altopiano is located in the broadest Skirama Dolomiti Adamello Brenta area and offers quick and secure ski lifts as well as artificially made snow. There are slopes suited to all, both beginners and experts alike. Numerous skiing schools and playgrounds in the snow are also ready for the entire family’s enjoyment.
At the foot of the Paganella lies Piana Rotaliana Königsberg, an expanse of vineyards as far as the eye can see that Cesare Battisti called “the most beautiful vine garden in Europe”. It is here that renowned wines like Teroldego Rotaliano, Nosiola, Trentodoc classic method sparkling wine and Trentino grappa are born: excellences of the Trentino wine heritage, to be discovered with a visit to many cellars and distilleries.
In addition to being famous for its wines, Piana Rotaliana is also known for the white asparagus of Zambana, an excellent local product renowned for its taste.
As you visit Piana Rotaliana, you cannot skip a stop at the Ciucioi Garden of Lavis and the Museum of Uses and Customs of the Trentino People in San Michele all’Adige, two precious cultural gems.
The remarkable diversity of landscapes means that you can also practice many outdoor activities, such as cycling, hiking, fishing and climbing on countless via ferratas. On the other hand, Monte di Mezzocorona represents a small oasis of peace and tranquility suitable for nature lovers and families
