I Suoni delle Dolomiti - Malga Vallesinella Alta
...with Faraualla, Culla e Tempesta. Every summer, music and nature meet on the natural stages of the Dolomites. Together with the musicians, walk up the paths to basins and meadows, clearings and peaks. Up there, where the music dialogues with the landscape, plays with the echo, chases a gust of wind.

Four female instrument-voices, a journey beyond time and borders
Four female vocalists explore a range of traditions and cultures, starting with those from their homeland of Puglia, which has been a crossroads for different people for centuries. Puglia can be found in Faraualla’s distinctive “sound”, in the instruments that accompany their performances and even in the name of the group, which was borrowed from a cave on the Murge plateau. After individually studying vocalism and putting their skills into practice in different musical spheres, the singers formed the quartet in Bari in 1995. They found that they shared an interest in research into use of the voice through polyphony and learning about the vocal expressions of a whole host of ethnic groups and historical periods. They fuse input from very different cultures in an original blend in which the group’s roots play a prominent role. The backdrop for Faraualla’s vocal performance will be the meadows around Malga Vallesinella Alta, in an amphitheatre below the towering peaks of the Brenta Dolomites.
