Evi Mayr & Friends
The 27th edition of Dolomiti Ski Jazz, from the huts on the slopes, descends to the village to the International apres-ski bar in Canazei for a concert by the eclectic South Tyrolean singer in the name of blues, pop and funk
From 7 to 16 March, the "jazz track" crosses the valleys of Fassa and Fiemme with concerts on the terraces of the refuges, in clubs, theatres and squares. From Canazei to Cavalese, all the way to Cembra: the Dolomiti Ski Jazz proposes also this year as many as 25 concerts. Warm rhythms such as jazz, but also blues, funk and Latin music will create thrilling contrasts with the snow-covered scenery of the Dolomites. Artists from the international scene will perform in the evenings in the clubs and theatres of the villages, while during the day they will take to the mountains, on the terraces of the mountain huts, some of which can also be reached by non-skiers. The festival will move day after day from one slope to another, from the Belvedere ski area in Canazei to the Alpe Cermis in Cavalese.
Dolomiti Ski Jazz: Evi Mayr & Friends. Bar apres-ski International (Canazei). Sunday, March 16, at 3:30 p.m.
Evi Mair is one of the Tyrol's most talented singers, appreciated for her extraordinary voice and interpretative skills. For years she has been collaborating with Matteo Rossetto, one of the most sought-after guitarists in Trentino Alto Adige, renowned for his talent and extraordinary versatility. With the addition of three highly experienced musicians (and trusted friends), the duo has found the ideal line-up to create a unique repertoire ranging from blues, jazz and funk. A musical proposal enriched by a selection of lesser-known but fascinating songs, capable of surprising and involving the audience.
Music band: Evi Mayr (vocals), Matteo Rossetto (electric guitar), Michele Casciaro (keyboards), Michele Bazzanella (bass), Thomas Heiny (drums).
The concert is free of charge. Given the limited number of parking spaces, it is advisable to reach the venue on foot (closest car park is the Dòlaondes Aquatic Centre).
