Network of Nature Reserves - Bondone
A natural oasis right on the city's doorstep
- Excursions on the panoramic Tre Cime [three peaks] of Monte Bondone
- With cross country skis through the Viote Peat Bog
- By cable car, from Trento to the Sardagna chestnut forests
The perimeter of the Bondone Reserve Network, a natural oasis just a few steps away from the city, and included in the territories of the municipalities of Trento, Cimone, Garniga, Vallelaghi, and Villa Lagarina, runs just above the last roofs of Trento.
Eight special conservation areas and four local reserves to protect the peculiarity of an environment which, starting from the urban shores of the Adige, crossing old chestnut forests, thick beech forests, patches of mountain conifers and mountain meadows, reaches the ridges of the Tre Cime of Monte Bondone.
This is a world that develops vertically and transitions from anthropic domains to wilderness. Easy to reach, fascinating to explore in any season, on foot, by bike or, in winter, by skiing. An unexpected world, an island of nature and sport for all those who wish to forget the city in just a few kilometres.
