Parco del Respiro
Europe’s first therapeutic park
- Forest bathing with experts
- Admire the view of the Adige valley
- A choice of four different wellness routes
In Fai della Paganella, a vast beech forest is home to the first Italian wellness park dedicated to the practice of forest bathing, complete with a genuine Forest Therapy path – a “therapeutic park for well-being”.
Here, forests and trees are used to improve the mental, emotional, sensory, chemical and energy conditions of the park’s visitors. This innovation is based on a detailed study conducted by Marco Nieri, bio-researcher and eco-design expert, and Marco Mencagli, an agronomist specialising in the design and maintenance of public and private parks.
The “Parco del Respiro” in Fai della Paganella has four different itineraries. You can walk them all, or choose the one you prefer. These are the walks on offer: “Sentiero dell’Otto”, a very easy-going itinerary criss-crossing the Fai countryside with its typical mountain lodges; “Sentiero dei Belvedere”, with its spectacular views over the surrounding valleys and peaks; “Sentiero dei Reti”, where you can discover the ancient village, one of the most significant archaeological sites in the Alps; and “Sentiero Acqua e Faggi”, appreciating the sunlight as it dances among the branches and reflects on the shimmering water of the stream.
