Salita a Pioverna alta

An ancient malga at an altitude of 1730 m gives its name to the mountain, Mount Pioverna alta. We are in the heart of the Alpe Cimbra, on the heights that crown the Passo Coe pass. From up here the panorama, at 360°, sweeps over the most beautiful peaks of Lower Trentino.

It is not exactly a walk, but neither is it a particularly demanding excursion. The only stretch that requires a certain amount of effort is the short uphill passage connecting the Bocca di Val Orsara to the south-western edge of the Pioverna plateau. Malga Pioverna alta does not allow for refreshments, for which the Passo Coe accommodation facilities are available on the return journey.
