Lake Caldonazzo in Valsugana is the backdrop to the "Giro dei Masi dei Castagni" (“Chestnut tour”). From Bosentino, visitors will reach Migazzone through cultivated areas and woods, the hamlet of Santa Caterina, where the panorama opens onto the Valsugana, Colle di Tenna and the lake. Guests will then climb up towards the high farmsteads until they reach the Monte di Bosentino Forest Road. Then back towards Vigolo attaro up to the Castello di Vigolo, a manor house from the 1200s and today a private residence, the sanctuary of the Madonna del Feles and back to Bosentino. Gastronomic stop at the Berry House Farmhouse in Vigolo Vattaro (www.berryhouse.it )

Whilst in Valsugana, you can walk along the romantic "Strada dei Pescatori" close to the water and in the most uncontaminated nature that surrounds Lake Levico, to relax and be amazed by the colours, shades and reflections that are drawn on the lake, pausing on the numerous benches scattered along the route. From the narrowest point of the lake, follow a path that runs along the other bank and enters the woodland, to then return to the starting point. Recommended venue, the Boivin Restaurant in Levico Terme (www.boivin.it).

The blue lake of Molveno is among the most beautiful in Italy, with the backdrop of the Brenta Dolomites at its centre. As well as that, the extremes of beauty combined with the colours of the forest accompany hikers who hike from Molveno to the mountain pasture the Malga Andalo hut which is right in front of the Croz dell’Altissimo. Starting at the campsite near the lake and following an easy path through the words, visitors will reach Malga di Andalo which reopened at the beginning of the summer. The journey back then follows the same route or alternatively there is the option to take the route from Bondai Road to the Baita Fortini di Napoleone restaurant which is perfect for a snack at the end of the hike.

Lake Lavarone, on Alpe Cimbra, can be reached by taking the nineteenth-century road that connects Lavarone, a connection once used by the inhabitants to lead the cows to graze on the meadows around the lake.  It is among the most evocative places of the Alpe Cimbra, at the beginning of the twentieth century chosen by Sigmund Freud, father of psychoanalysis, for some holiday periods in what was then the Italian Tyrol. Having reached the town of Pra' di Sopra, before continuing to the lake in the square, you can visit the small church dedicated to San Rocco. Recommended restaurant, the Bazzario Bistrot by the lake (www.lavaronehospitality.it/).

On Lake Toblino, every morning, in every season, the ethereal profile of its iconic sixteenth-century castle emerges from the mists and towers directly on the water. In this romantic destination and in the immediate surroundings you can breathe the scent of rosemary, of the northernmost olive trees on the planet, of holm oaks, which benefit from the microclimate common to the whole area north of the Trentino shore of Lake Garda. Not to be missed, in the surrounding area, is the Path of the Roggia di Calavino which tells of the close link between the town and its stream full of waterfalls and cascadelles. Locals recommend the gourmet Hosteria Toblino in Sarche (www.toblino.it/hosteria/ristorante/ )

Lake Ledro with its hidden beaches can be discovered paddling aboard a canoe, a captivating and adventurous experience even for the little ones, especially in the morning before the afternoon breezes rise, gliding effortlessly on the lake surface. Or from Mezzolago, through the beech woods that light up with very lively colours in autumn, you can go up to the panoramic point of the Madonna di Besta. Recommended venue: Slow Elda Restaurant (https://ristorante-elda-slow-restaurant.business.site)

The small Lago di Cei is immersed in nature and surrounded by lush woods above the Vallagarina from which it is easily accessible. This place is particularly appreciated in autumn, when the lake transforms with warm colours, and the red and yellow reflections of the trees are reflected in its waters. A path allows you to go all the way around this body of water. Recommended place: Malga Cimana (www.malgacimana.com ) which can be reached from the lake with a short walk.
