The Skiarea Alpe Cimbra boasts more than 104 km of downhill skiing domain, spacious and sun-drenched ski runs - suitable for all abilities: from gentle blue runs, to exhilarating reds and highly technical black runs, that often are used as training ground by world’s skiing champions.
The US National Alpine skiing teams have chosen the Alpe Cimbra-Folgaria and Lavarone Skiarea for their training in preparation for the important dates on the World Cup calendar. The choice of this Skiarea by such important teams is strongly motivated by the technical aspects of the slopes, together with the capabilities of the companies responsible for the lift facilities to prepare them perfectly.
The innovative programmed snow-making system guarantees great snow cover in all weathers and optimal skiing conditions from December to April. Plus, the skipass is part of the Skirama Dolomiti Adamello Brenta that gives access to 8 different ski resorts.
Those passionate about Nordic skiing can take advantage of two well established and equipped centres, Millegrobbe and Alpe di Folgaria-Coe, both well-known in the region as the go-to destination for Nordic skiing, also at competitive level. Perfectly prepped trails through vast snowy fields framed by majestic fir tree forests, offer the opportunity to practice this endurance sport in contact with pristine nature.
Alpe Cimbra, renowned for being a family- friendly and tranquil area, has collected many awards and credits over the years: from ranking at the top of the national portal for ski resorts to the official Bandiera Italiana awarded by the order of paediatricians for safety and quality of facilities for children which include qualified ski schools, excellent equipment hire and specialized shops. In addition, transport connections are fast and efficient thanks to a skibus service connecting towns directly with the lifts and a trackless snow train that operates as shuttle service.
Plus, entertainment is guaranteed thanks to several snowparks, a boardercross slope, Fat Bike facilities, Ice Karting, the Parco Neveland together with classic winter activities such as snow-shoeing, sledging and Nordic walking. Ice skating lovers can choose between the indoor rink at Palafolgaria or the open-air rink near Lake Lavarone.
