Palestra Passo San Giovanni
Passo San Giovanni Climb
The road to Rovereto becomes wider near a crossing, right before the Pass. A small downhill road is located to the right of this, and follows the roadbed of an old railway line. Park in front of the hotel and make your way to the end of the road on foot. A trail is found slightly further up (red signs, followed by blue sigs) and takes visitors to the foot of the wall in about 5 minutes. The best period for climbing is between June and November, if the Ora del Garda is not too cold. The rock is an excellent limestone worked by the wind, with small holds for friction climbing. In terms of nailing, all the routes are equipped with spits. Difficulties vary from 4c to 7b. Perhaps unique in its kind, it offers a series of optimally fitted routes. The area is chiefly suited to bouldering, as well as being equipped with medium-easy technical wall routes. It is an excellent climb for schools.
