Palestra Massone
Palestra Massone
The cliff has two main sectors: an old sector to the south located in front of the parking area, and a newer sector to the north, approximately 50 m away from the parking area, where the most difficult routes are found. The Palestra di Massone Policromuro is in yellow limestone and its routes overlook a drop with exits on worked walls, featuring an enormous variety of holds. Difficulty varies from 5a to 8b. The climbs require both resistance and skill. The use of 60 m ropes is recommended. The easier routes are found in the southern sector and in the central sector towards the top. To access the climbing wall from Arco, make your way north until you drive 400 m past the bridge over the River Sarca, where you will see the road to Massone. The first road on the right takes visitors to San Martino. Go north and make your way past the houses. You will find the start of an uphill road 200 m further on. Drive past the olive groves, where you can catch a glimpse of the cliff, before leaving your car in the parking area on your left.
