Christmas Carols
"La Valle" Choir from Sover, in Cembra Valley, performs an exciting a cappella concert at the Christmas market
What could be more festive than strolling through the markets, accompanied by classic melodies? In Soraga you can experience all this: the authentic spirit of Christmas will envelop you with its lights, scents and the notes of the "La Valle" Choir from Sover. While you search for the perfect gift among the handcrafted stalls, you can warm yourself up with a glass of mulled wine or apple juice, letting yourself be carried away by the emotions that only music and the climate of this period can give you. And to make the atmosphere truly magical, don't miss the natural phenomenon of the "Enrosadira": at sunset, the peaks of the "Monzoni" and the "Roda de Vael" are tinged with extraordinary shades of orange and purple for a unique panorama that will remain in your heart.
The mixed "La Valle" mixed choir from Sover was founded in 2003 to promote the traditional singing, culture and folklore of Cembra Valley. The repertoire consists of Trentino, national and international folk songs, accompanied by the recovery of 18th and 19th century valley scores, including the twelve ancient "Canti della Stella" (Star Songs) that are performed every Epiphany Eve. In addition to local and regional festivals, the choir, under the direction of Maestro Roberto Bazzanella, has also performed outside the Trentino region and has taken part in tours in Europe and even overseas. Since 2006, it has also been the "Gruppo Costumi Storici Cembrani" (Historical Costume Group of Cembra Valley), , with the revival of typical 18th-century costumes.
From 5 p.m. at the Christmas markets in Soraga, in the meadow in front of the parish church. Free admission.
