Shepherd's songs
Christmas and folk music performed with bagpipe and shawm by Mario Spolidoro and Giovanni Borraro
The "zampognari" (bagpipers), ancient players of a wind instrument of pastoral origin, come to Campitello to enliven the festive period. At 5 p.m., Salento musicians Giovanni Borraro ("ciaramella" or shawm) and Mario Spolidoro ("zampogna" or bagpipe), dressed in traditional costumes, will perform in the square of Campitello, among the little market houses, in an evocative concert of Christmas and Neapolitan folk songs. There is music, there is atmosphere, there is the sunset over the soaring peaks of the Sassolungo, there is the choreography of the decorations, the illuminations, the tree, the ice fountain and, to warm you up, there is a fragrant hot mulled wine. We are waiting for you!
