"Upcycling Music" is a musical project by "Max Castlunger", a renowned South Tyrolean percussionist and multi-instrumentalist who will be in Trento on 16 October 2024 at the "Sala Filarmonica".
For more than twentyyears, Max has been building sound objects inspired by the traditional instruments of the world through the creative reuse of different waste materials. At the base of all the instruments are furniture, bins, cylinders, plastic tubes, which thanks to a skilful work of craftsmanship, are transformed into t ubophones, gongs, xylophones, flutes, psaltery, drums, drums of various kinds and much more. In addition to an exhibition dimension, the new instruments are played by the Upcycling Band, a group composed of the multi-instrumentalists Max Castlunger, Mirko Pedrotti, Georg Malfertheiner and Manfred Gampenrieder.
