The Christmas parade
Experience the magic of Christmas in Moena: join Father Christmas in a parade through the town's streets, stroll through the markets, and celebrate the 50th anniversary of Dolomiti Superski with us
During the festive season, the centre of Moena transforms into a true Christmas village. Visitors can wander through the charming wooden huts offering a variety of last-minute gift ideas, from textiles and handcrafted items to delicious treats to savour at home. Children’s laughter fills the air in the two squares, where a traditional carousel, a miniature railway, and even Santa’s Elf House await. All of this is complemented by concerts and travelling performances, inspired by Ladin traditions and classic fairy tales.
Moena and its vibrant community celebrate the start of the festivities and 50 years of Dolomiti Superski with a special parade. The parade, which will start from the "Piaz de Ramon" square and will end in the "Piaz de Sotegrava" square, will see the passage of numerous groups and sports associations from Moena and the neighbouring valleys, accompanied by the music of the Municipal Band of Moena. Among the participants, along with Santa Claus and his elves, will be the "Enrosadira" Choir, the ski instructors from Moena and Falcade, the "Scufons" with their traditional costumes, the ski clubs, the young people from the "Monti Pallidi" sports club, the athletes of Moena Sport Rhythmic Gymnastics and many other friends of the "Fairy of the Dolomites".
A particularly significant moment will be the arrival of the "Oympic torch" in Moena, to celebrate the half century of Dolomiti Superski and pay homage to the pioneers of the Alpe Lusia/San Pellegrino Consortium with the awarding of honours. After the parade, in the "Piaz de Sotegrava" square, the celebrations will continue with a reflection on the history of the valley's ski lifts and the presentation of the work of art "Enrosadira", created for the occasion by Piedmontese artist Daniele Basso.
