"Carlo Amleto" in elegant frack will be staged on Friday 20 December 2024 at the Teatro Cuminetti in Trento. It will play with the audience while using multiple elements: prose, music, comedy and poetry. The characteristics are the same as the "joke" in music, characterized by thematic insistence, rhythmic surprises, abrupt conclusions and impetuous irruptions in the general movement.
The title is borrowed from classical music. The term "Joke" in musical terminology indicates a composition, usually not very broad, of a lively and imaginative nature. The movement of Carlo Amleto is in fact cheerful and moving. A poetics that cannot be confined, free and unique, both for the courage of its contents and for the originality of the style. Carlo Amleto is an artist who follows his instincts, detaching himself from the market to always remain in tune with his creativity.
In his production Hamlet took as inspirations the fathers of that special form of art that is song theatre, such as Gaber and Jannacci, and their epigones, the Helios and the tense stories. The musical part, on the other hand, also reflects the versatility of Carlo Amleto, in fact each song has its own specific sound that accompanies and underlines the story told in the text, going from blues to jazz, from soul to funk, to bossanova.
