Folgarida
Folgarida is a leading winter tourist destination and is connected to the Marilleva and Madonna di Campiglio ski areas
Folgarida means "land of the ferns" and is one of the biggest economic driving forces of the region. An outlying municipal district of the Municipality of Dimaro, the town was established in 1965 amongst the pines and larches of the wood, next to the road which takes travellers from Dimaro to Passo di Campo Carlo Magno and Madonna di Campiglio, which is only 8 km away. Folgarida is one of the most popular summer and winter tourist destinations of the Trentino.
In winter, it provides visitors with a vast network of pistes and modern ski lifts with its ski area - which includes the skiing districts of Mezzana-Marilleva and Madonna di Campiglio. These are connected by a ski-carousel which allows skiers from each of the winter resorts on the mountain slopes to comfortably access all of the pistes. Snow and beautiful scenery are guaranteed.
A conference and shows centre provides cultural events and entertainment during the entire season.
