Drena
Drena towers over the valley of river Sarca
Thanks to the influence of both Lake Garda (lago di Garda) and the mountains, Drena enjoys a unique climate, mild and alpine at the same time. Drena towers over the valley of river Sarca and the Marocche (valle del Sarca e le Marocche), a postglacial landslide. There you will find Malga Campo, the ideal place to spend your holiday in direct contact with nature, surrounded by greenery.
With its privileged position, Drena is located just a few kilometers from Arco, Riva del Garda and Trento. Its origins date back to the prehistoric period, but it was during the Roman era and the Middle Ages that it gained more importance, developing around its castle, built as a defense stronghold. The symbol of the city is actually the ashlar tower of the castle, which was completely restored. Drena Castle is now host to many concerts, art exhibitions and shows. Worth a visit are also St. Martin and St. Charles Borromeo churches. Moreover, Drena features a number of attractions of cultural interest, located further north, as Drena 3000, an open-air sculpture park.
