TENNIS HALLLE - Cavareno
Nestled in the verdant Val di Non, home of Golden Delicious apples, on the outskirts of the town of Cavareno, the Tennis Halle stands at the edge of a vast meadow. This large polyfunctional sports complex houses an impressive indoor climbing wall suitable for free climbing and bouldering. Arrampicavareno, a sports club consisting mainly of young enthusiasts, manages the structure and organises numerous courses and climbing events throughout the year. Special attention is paid to the “fruits of the land”, and we’re not talking about apple orchards here but of local talent, and young and promising climbers are flanked by experienced instructors licensed by the National Climbing Association.
The facility offers almost 40 vertical routes, complete with overhangs, along the climbing wall and there’s also a practical bouldering area where climbers can warm up before facing the vertical wall or simply attempt any of a series of technical manoeuvres along routes of varying difficulty. A functional and well-managed facility, it’s not surprising it has hosted the Junior Climbing Cup for many years, part of a series of youth climbing competitions. And remember, if you need a break between one climb and another, relax and have an apple!
