Lake Santa Giustina is a monument to the power of water, that for thousands of years slowly dug along the Noce river picturesque canyons much loved by canoeists, and that now, harnessed, produces electricity thanks to the imposing dam, forming the largest artificial lake in Trentino.
Visitors to the lake, especially sports lovers, will appreciate the combination of nature and man’s work: in addition to canoe and kayak trips in the Santa Giustina gorges, between narrow passages and vertical walls, they may also explore the Novella river park. This is a 3.5 km long guided trail, equipped with walkways and ideal for walks in the woods, to enjoy hidden corners and the majestic scenery produced by a distinctive local geology.
The lake is also a great destination for lovers of relaxation, especially in the south-western part, where a green area was set up with facilities to fully enjoy the natural beauty of the place.
