Val di Breguzzo
Nature and emotions in the Adamello group
The upper part of the Breguzzo valley was included in the Nature Park during a recent expansion. In truth, the valley features two different names within the protected area: Val Trivena and the Piano del Redont, where a number of spectacular waterfalls are located.
Val Breguzzo can be reached from national road 239 from Tione, after turning right between Breguzzo and Bondo villages. A wide array of different types of vegetation can be admired between Breguzzo - which is located at 800 m a.s.l. - and its 3,000 m highest peaks, ranging from copses to pine forests and Alpine meadows.
The valley was once famed for its iron pyrite and silver galena mines. In terms of its wildlife, the valley is inhabited by chamois, squirrels and marmots, and is dominated by the royal eagle.
