New Year's Concert
The "Aurona" association from Moena, also known outside the valley for its symphony orchestra, brings to the stage an unprecedented musical journey through different eras, styles and poetic inspirations
"Confronti" is an event that blends tradition and innovation, in which the audience becomes an integral part of the performance. Directed by Maestro Claudio Vadagnini, the concert explores a broad spectrum of musical styles in an interweaving of different eras and cultures. The repertoire ranges from contemporary compositions by Roberto Di Marino and Marcello Defant to popular pieces in the Ladin language, to the Viennese classical music of Johann Strauss. A central role is played by the accordion, which will lead the audience to discover new sonic nuances. The inclusion of this unusual orchestral instrument, which is often relegated to popular use, also underlines the "Aurona" association's commitment to the appreciation of linguistic minorities, creating a bridge between the past and the present. The concert is not limited to a performance, but becomes an opportunity to stimulate curiosity and encourage reflection on musical evolution.
Since its foundation in 2001, the "Aurona" association has produced more than 60 operatic performances, including Pergolesi's "La serva padrona" and "Livietta e Tracollo", Verdi's "Rigoletto", "La Traviata" and "Trovatore", "Rita", Donizetti's "Elisir d'Amore", Mozart's "Don Giovanni", Puccini's "Madama Butterfly" and "Turandot", Mascagni's "Cavalleria Rusticana", Bellini's "La Sonnambula", as well as the original performances in the Ladin language "Conturina" and "Aneta" by Claudio Vadagnini. Its activities also include hundreds of solo and symphonic concerts, publications, recordings, and filming with RAI and other local broadcasters.
