Rifugio Dorigoni
The Dorigoni Refuge in Trentino is located in Val di Rabbi in Alta Val Saent, one of the most authentic valleys of the Stelvio National Park and the entire Ortles-Cevedale Group, at an altitude of 2436 m above a rocky step in an open and sunny position.
The Saent Falls, the nature trail of the Sternai Lakes, the Monumental Larches Trail and the world of high altitudes with the Careser Glacier, the Cima Rossa and the Cima Sternai, are just some of the wonders you can see when climbing the Dorigoni Refuge. The welcome of the Iachelini Family combined with the hospitality of a well-kept and quiet alpine refuge make it an ideal place for an exciting experience. The hut's cuisine is simple, healthy and well-groomed, offering authentic traditional Trentino dishes on a daily basis, including lean or speckled canederli, tagliatelle with venison ragu’or nettle pesto, barley soup and vegetable soup, Storo polenta with melted cheese or with stew and mushrooms, carne salada and fasoi, local cured meats and local cheeses from Val di Rabbi's huts and dairies. The room used for breakfast, lunch and dinner reproduces the climate of a stube covered in spruce wood and has about seventy seats distributed over eight comfortable tables.
