Vigo di Fassa-Pera-Ciampedìe
The over 16 km of scenic ski-runs in this area, with snow guaranteed by artificial snow systems, can be reached by cableway from Vigo di Fassa and chairlift from Pera di Fassa
- Extraordinary panorama of Catinaccio and Sassolungo, the Sella mountain group, the Marmolada
- Try the Alberto Tomba black slope
- Best skiarea for skiers, families with children and hikers
The area is especially family-friendly, and features a baby park where children are taught to ski by the Vigo ski school's staff.
All fun, though rather demanding, is the 4.5 km Thoeni slope running from Ciampedìe down to Vigo di Fassa. The more demanding skiers can tackle the black ski-run named after Alberto Tomba, a tribute to the fact the world-class skiing champion had elected this run his favourite training ground for many years.
More than just skiing: Ciampedìe is also the starting point for snowshoeing hikes in the realm of King Laurin and alpine skiing excursions through Valle del Vajolet. Without forgetting the gourmand side that a holiday spent here has to offer: many mountain huts, lodges and chalets where you can enjoy the delicacies of traditional Ladin cuisine. And for the little ones? A beautiful park on the snow where they can play with the "Lauri" mascots.
