Advent in music with the Enrosadira Choir
The men's choir from Moena performs in an exciting concert of carols, Christmas, mountain classics and popular songs, some also in Ladin language
At 5.30 p.m., the "Enrosadira" Choir of Moena takes the stage at the square "Piaz de Ramon" for a beautiful Advent concert, made even more evocative by the atmosphere of the markets, with the big tree, the merry-go-round and the brightly lit decorations. You can listen to mountain, traditional and Christmas songs, some even in Ladin language, including "Te cianal de legn" by local composer Luigi Canori. Free of charge event.
Founded in 1981 and now directed by Maestro Barbara Pedrotti, the "Enrosadira" Choir owes its name to a phenomenon typical of the Alpine areas: at dawn and dusk, when the rock is struck by the sun's rays, it is tinged with thousands of shades of red and pink, providing a spectacle that thrills every time. The male-voice ensemble boasts memorable trips to America, with performances in Chicago, Toronto, New York, the state of Santa Catarina and Rio de Janeiro. Trips to Sicily and Spain have made it possible to establish important cultural exchanges with the ethnic minorities of the Arbëreshe (the Albanians of Sicily) and Catalonia. Furthermore, in 2006, the choir was a guest of the then President of the Republic Carlo Azelio Ciampi. These collaborations led to the recording of the album "...color d'Enrosadira", which includes traditional Trentino songs, mountain and folk songs in Ladin, Friulian and even African languages, harmonised for male choir.
