Inquadra Primiero
The InQuadRa Primiero cultural project was born from the need of the Municipality of Primiero to offer its inhabitants and interested visitors of the valley quick and effective information, to make better known the protagonists of the historical events of the communities and the art forms expressed by the towns of Primiero. Primiero high school, for years engaged in the study and dissemination of the cultural resources of the territory, has been naturally involved in this project thanks to the work and passion of pupils and students, coordinated by a group of teachers who develop in the school together with the students a path dedicated to the in-depth study of art, history and culture of our territories.
The work of the high school students gave rise to a first project dedicated to the area of Pieve, a town in the municipality of Primiero San Martino di Castrozza of considerable historical importance, the centrepiece of the commercial life of the valley in recent centuries. In fact, here, in addition to the Arcipretale Church dedicated to Santa Maria dell 'Assunta, there are numerous other prestigious buildings, such as the Palazzo del Dazio (also called Palazzo delle Miniere), the Canonega Vecia and the birthplace of the first engineer Luigi Negrelli, famous among other things for the Suez Canal project.
