Ties of the Dolomites
Photo exhibition of the photographers supporters of the Dolomites UNESCO in Pera di Fassa
There are 10 authors of the spectacular shots on display, professional and amateur photographers, but above all supporters of the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage Foundation: Alessandra Bello, Alessia Bortolameotti, Alessandro Caon, Moreno Geremetta, Nicolò Miana, Patrick Odorizzi, Franco Oliveri, Anton Sessa, Andreas Tamanini and Georg Tappeiner. Of course, the visitor's attention will be enraptured by the marvellous visions, the Tofane, the Sciliar, the Vette Feltrine, the Friulian Dolomites, the Brenta, the Odle, the Sella... but, as a whole, the exhibition tells a deeper meaning, that of "ties".
The supporting photographers come from all over the territory that UNESCO recognised as World Heritage in 2009. They cover 142,000 hectares spread across five provinces (Belluno, Bolzano, Pordenone, Trento and Udine) and three regions (Friuli Venezia Giulia, Trentino Alto Adige and Veneto). There are two values behind the prestigious recognition of the Dolomites as a UNESCO World Heritage Site: scenic beauty and geological importance for the history of the Earth.
The open-air photo exhibition can be visited all year round.
