Music of the Stars - Three concerts to enter into symphony with the cosmos - Monte Bondone

"La Terrazza delle Stelle", the astronomical observatory at Viote del Monte Bondone, is preparing to host the new edition of "La musica delle stelle", a cultural exhibition in collaboration with the Bonporti Conservatory of Trento. Three dates on 26 July, 2 and 23 August 2024 for three concerts under one of the most beautiful skies in Trentino, also recognised by UNESCO as a "place connected to the sky".

The infinite space, with its stars, planets and distant worlds, becomes a source of inspiration for the music of the young musicians of the Bonporti Conservatory of Trento, who for three Fridays (26 July, 2 and 23 August 2024) will accompany the public on a sound journey to connect with the sky and the nature of Monte Bondone.

The musical shows, which are part of the rich summer calendar of the Terrace of the Stars, will begin at 8.30 pm and will be concluded by astronomical observations by the museum's scientific mediators. At the disposal of the participants there will be powerful telescopes to observe the secrets of the night sky.

"The occasion of a concert is always the arrival point for pupils and students and teachers of the Conservatory who can thus present the didactic-artistic work studied during the academic year. Doing it in such a particular environment, surrounded by a fascinating nature that with its colours, sounds and evening lights integrates perfectly with the suggestion of the melodies, makes it a unique and exciting experience ", underlines Professor Francesco Fontolan on behalf of the Directorate of the Bonporti Conservatory.

"Summer – highlights Christian Lavarian, MUSE scientific mediator and referent of the Terrace of the Stars – is the best season to admire the Milky Way: this delicate celestial region, known since ancient times and interpreted in the most imaginative ways, is actually the disk of our Galaxy in which the solar system itself is immersed. In the summer months we observe the brightest part of this disk, in the direction of the very bright galactic center. "
