"A spas co la mùsega"
Evening stroll along the central "Strada de Meida" in Pozza, enlivened by the music of municipal brass band "Mùsega de Poza", Spritz Band, The Others, Funny Shoes, Kairós, The Lover Boys
Tonight, don't make any plans: "A Spas co la mùsega" is on. The centre of Pozza, starting at 9.15 p.m., is reserved exclusively for pedestrians. "Strada de Meida" with the squares "Piaza del Malghèr", "Piaza Deodat de Dolomieu", and "Piaza de Comun" turn into exceptional stages and invite you to follow the rhythm under the stars. The stars of this travelling summer event are the groups "Mùsega de Poza", Spritz Band, The Others, Funny Shoes, Kairòs and The Lover Boys: they will all present their repertoire of folk, jazz, soul, rock, pop and funk.
"Mùsega de Poza". Under the direction of maestro Giancarlo Dorich, the municipal brass band has almost seventy members, including players, standard-bearers and sutlers. The current uniform is based on Ladin tradition and the clothing worn in the past and is proof that the culture of the valley is still alive and a source of pride. The group's unforgettable concerts remain closely linked to the region: in 2003 and 2023, the musicians climbed the Vaiolet Towers with their instruments on their shoulders and then performed one step away from the sky. In 2020, they filmed a remote music video with Paolo Fresu, the famous trumpeter and flugelhorn player. It was conceived during the pandemic and filmed between Val di Fassa and Alghero.
Spritz Band. The trio consists of Stefano Morandini (bass), Mauro Bontempelli (accordion) and Stefano Zancanella (guitar and trumpet). The repertoire ranges from the exciting Tyrolean music typical of the Oktoberfest to ballroom dances from Romagna, the legendary 60s and Italian and international singer-songwriters.
The Others. The group is made up of five guys - Stefano Eccher on trumpet, Giacomo Panozzo on saxophone, Mattia Vanzetta on trombone, Giulio Molteni on bass and Daniel on drums - who play Italian music reinterpreted in a pop-funk key, all for dancing and listening with friends.
Funny Shoes. The "Funny Shoes", which emerged from the group "Flamings - Pink Floyd Tribute" in 2017, are a quintet of musicians and singers from the valley. Their repertoire consists of "pink" covers (with a few exceptions), ranging from blues/rock classics from the 60s/70s to contemporary pop. This is thanks to the two great female voices who, although very different, complement each other. Various line-up changes have helped the band to always come up with something new. In 2023, the band presents itself with a range of songs and genres that manage to unite all the current members of the group, even though they are very different, both in terms of musical tastes and previous experiences. The result is a varied and captivating show with performances of well-known songs and reinterpretations that breathe new life into lesser-known songs.
Kairós. An explosive fusion of funk rhythms, rock and pop melodies that capture the soul and get the feet moving. With the virtuosity of Alex Pederiva's guitar, Antonello Salvestrini's powerful bass line, the pressing rhythms of Tommaso Dondio's drums and the enveloping voice of Samantha Pederiva.
The Lover Boys. They are a musical trio consisting of Max Lucini (vocals, double bass and bass), David Grassi (guitar) and Marco Parrella (drums). Their strings resonate with rock & roll and rockabilly tunes, ranging from Elvis to Eddie Cochran, from Jerry Lee Lewis to Chuck Berry and the Stray Cats, to transport you back to the 1950s.
In case of bad weather the concerts by the brass band "Mùsega de Poza" will be held in the events pavilion. Free admission.
