The Christmas of memories is a magical journey to discover the traditions of the past that come to life in the streets, houses, squares and palaces of Castellano, a small mountain village in the municipality of Villa Lagarina.
During Christmas time, the mountain village of Castellano is dressed up: painting exhibitions, traditional flavours in the courtyards, nativity scenes, music, shows, children’s activities and much more.
And along to the village, Lake Cei also becomes an enchanting location for Christmas choirs and entertainment.
Saturday 30th of November marks the start of the Christmas season with the lighting of the tree and the nativity scene set up on the shores of the lake and the impressive torchlight procession.
The programme focuses on music with concerts and live performances with local choirs and musicians, including the Coro “Bianche Zime”, the “Coro Sant’Ilario”, the “Altreterre choir”, the Mezzolombardo band, and the Choir of the “Chiesa dei Frati”.
Throughout the season, nativity scenes will be set up on the fountains by village associations (Alpini, Filodrammatica, SK Castelam, Kindergarten Committee).
