In the heart of Penìa
Gastronomic route with tasting of typical dishes and musical entertainment in the characteristic centre of the hamlet of Penìa
Take a fairytale village, a square enclosed between ancient houses and a fountain with limpid water, add delicious flavours and aromas, some folk music and here you are "Tel Cher de Penìa" ("In the heart of Penìa"). The event takes place, from 8 p.m., in this village that has remained authentic, were it is possible to perceive the structure of ancient dolomitic suburbs, when the economy was based on mountain agriculture and cattle breeding. Do not miss, so, the occasion of a walk through the narrow roads and the square where it is possible to taste some delicacies of the local cuisine, see some artisan at wark and have fun with the traditional melodies. You can visit, also, the church dedicated to St. Sebastiano and Rocco, who is celebrated in August with a feast by the folk group "Grop de la Mèscres de Delba e Penìa" that perpetuates the ancient Carnival tradition.
Tickets can be purchased for € 18 at the cash desks, open from 7 p.m. In case of bad weather the event will be held on the following day.
