The first adventure: secrets in the water along the Water Springs Trail

What is there more important than water? This is why your adventure just has to start with this path, which teaches you how water was vital for the villagers in Lavarone, who needed it to drink, for themselves and their animals. 

The route follows in the footsteps of the "vacaroti", the cowmen who used to bring their herds here to drink. An itinerary through the woods, past mountain springs and ancient fountains. 

The second adventure: dancing through the woods and discovering the woodland animals

You must have already been in a wood. But how much do you know about the creatures that live here? Well, after this second test, woodland animals will hold no secrets for you. 

A loop of almost 5 kilometres with challenges in the form of riddles about forest animals. With a surprise at the halfway point. A tiny library next to a large, shady playground where you can rest and play. 

The third adventure: into the woods to listen to the Breathing Trees

Right, now that you have discovered the importance of water and the secrets of woodland animals, you learn all about the great protagonists of the Alpe Cimbra: the trees.  

On this walk, you will discover how they can become raw material for artistic creations and food for thought, on a land art trail that offers spectacular views of the mountains surrounding the Lavarone plateau. 

The fourth adventure: over suspension and foot bridges

Now that you have learnt all there is to know about nature and its protagonists, it’s time to put your courage to the test. Cross a suspension bridge, jump from tree to tree, climb the trunk of a fir tree. We know you can do it! 

The fourth stage takes you to Carbonare di Folgaria, where a large fun park opens this summer (June 2025), offering 95 activities, 11 trails and no less than 400 metres of cableways. 

The last adventure: in the presence of the Dragon of Vaia

Behold, the time has finally come to meet the dragon!  

Before you walk the Dragon's Path you can get ready for this final adventure with a copy of the "Dragon's Path Activity Book", which has lots of riddles, games and creative activities to help you on your way. Or you can listen to the audio book that tells the story of the Dragon of Vaia, accompanied by the sounds of nature and the storm that woke it up. 

One last walk and here you are, finally you stand before the Dragon of Vaia.  

He looks menacing, with his claws and sharp teeth. Don't be afraid, though. You will soon realise that this is not an evil dragon, he is a guardian. He defends a new pact between humans and nature. Now that you have passed all these tests and learnt many new things, you too can help him in this difficult challenge.
