Third stop: A journey through an 18th-century palace
There’s a thread that ties this final stop of your journey to the one that came before it, and it’s a thread of silk. After gathering flowers on Mount Baldo and savouring fine wines in the home of one of the most eclectic artists of the 20th century, it’s time to visit Palazzo Sichardt, home to the Museum of the City of Rovereto.
Until 30 March 2025, immerse yourself in the exhibition “Fili di seta. Visioni e suggestioni di Paolo Aldi,” showcasing the latest work by the photographer and visual artist inspired by the history of Rovereto’s silk industry.
What makes this exhibition truly unique is the medium: the works, created exclusively for the event, are printed on large, exquisite sheets of mulberry paper, crafted by a traditional Japanese paper mill. Suspended just inches from the walls, the images incorporate intertwined silk threads, symbolising Rovereto’s historical ties to the silk industry.
An unusual exhibition, much like your journey through Vallagarina – one filled with scents, flavours, and above all, stories and discoveries. That’s the beauty of exploring unexpected paths.
