Val di Sole is one of the largest ski resort in western Trentino covering 3 different ski areas.
The new Ski Area Dolomiti di Brenta (Folgarida-Marilleva, Madonna di Campiglio and Pinzolo) with 150 km of ski runs reaching an altitude of 2500m. The Skiarea PontediLegno – Tonale that spreads across the Presena glacier soaring to 3000 meters and, with its 100 km of skiing terrain, guarantees snow-sure conditions for several months of the year. Lastly, the Ski Area Pejo3000, immersed in the stunning Parco dello Stelvio, with ski runs suitable for all levels. All three resorts shine for their technical terrain and breathtaking landscapes. Together, they are a true paradise for alpine skiing and snowboarding. They are also part of the Skirama Dolomiti Adamello Brenta skipass.
This is favourite destination also amongst lovers of Nordic skiing, thanks to 55 km of trails perfectly maintained by the dedicated centres in the valley.
Beside the popular downhill skiing, there are many off-piste opportunities like alpine skiing tours and snow-shoes excursions that start off in the neighbouring valleys inside Parco dello Stelvio, such as Valle di Pejo and Val di Rabbi.
To facilitate transport, with the aim to reduce costs and respect the environment, there’s a free shuttle service that conveniently connects the towns with the ski areas. Another easy way to reach the ski resorts is by train, with the efficient Treno + Sci Dolomiti Express service that links Trento with the Mezzana cable car station.
