Restored to their former glory, pianos from the times of Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Chopin and Liszt give visitors the opportunity to experience the magic of listening to music as it sounded in bygone times.

The Piano Museum is housed in the elegant Palazzo de’ Pizzini von Hoechenbrunn in Ala (17th-18th centuries), which housed famous figures such as Maria Theresa of Austria, Napoleon Bonaparte and the great W. Amadeus Mozart. In its rooms, it traces the history of this instrument, from its origins to the end of the nineteenth century, with rare and precious specimens, ranging from its origins to the end of the nineteenth century, restored to their former glory. Over the centuries, this elegant mansion located in Ala has hosted many aristocrats, princes and even monarchs, from Maria Theresa ofAustria in 1738 and 1739 to Napoleon Bonaparte in 1796. W. Amadeus Mozart also stayed and played here in 1771, 1772, and 1773.
