The Church of San Marco is located on the street named after it in Trento, near the convent of the Hermit Friars of Saint Augustine. With its Medieval plant, the monastery complex is organised into a number of buildings and covers a whole block between via San Marco and via Santa Maria Maddalena.
A 17th century, Renaissance style portico provides access to the church, whose interior is developed on four convex arches, which extend from two cylindrical columns on a monolith connecting pillar, creating an airy groined vault. Two ribbed plates, on which the axis was slipped when Saluga stream flooded, are still to be found on the low wall dividing the portico from the piazza to access the church from the rounded central arch. The second access to the church is located next to the Baroque fountain of Saint John Nepomuk, for which an aedicule was erected to protect against floods.
