Milk Festival

The Milk Festival is finally back on July 6 -7 2024 at Parco Palù in Lavarone: the event is fully dedicated to the dairy world and sees the collaboration of ApT Alpe Cimbra and Assessorato al Turismo e all’Agricoltura della Provincia Autonoma di Trento which aim at enhancing the alpine dairy industry and agriculture. The white gold of our territory, namely milk and derivates – is the absolute protagonist of the festival.
Honor place among many products is reserved to Vézzena cheese, which is protected by a Slow Food Presidium, being it one of the most ancient dairy products of the regional cheese-making tradition.
Enjoy the Milk Festival and celebrate the dairy tradition of one of Europe’s biggest mountain pastures: until the Great War, Vézzena cheese was the only one in Trentino and was mainly used as topping for soups and “canederli”, in addition to being one of Emperor Franz Joseph’s favorite cheeses.
Taste the local milk products and get in touch with them through the many activities and themed workshops.
