Youth sailing’s top event comes to Garda Trentino.

From 12 to 20 July 2024, Garda Trentino will host the Trentino 2024 Youth Sailing World Championships, the most important event for international sailing besides the Paris Olympics.
Northern Lake Garda is one of most renowned regatta venues in the world because of the strength and regularity of its winds and the sailing heritage of its clubs. In 2024, Lake Garda will welcome the best U-19 sailors, more than 400 athletes from over 70 nations who will compete in eleven events spread across 6 classes (29er, 420, ILCA6, Nacra15, Formula Kite and Windsurf Youth iQFOiL).
The regattas will take place in six sailing clubs (Fraglia Vela Riva, Lega Navale Italiana, Circolo Vela Arco, Circolo Surf Torbole, Circolo Vela Torbole e Fraglia Vela Malcesine), whereas the waterfront in Riva del Garda will be the base for exhibitors and side events that promise athletes and spectators a truly engaging and unforgettable experience with an Olympic feel.
Lake Garda is not only a magnet for international sailing talents, but also a cradle for homegrown champions. Four of them will be the event’s official ambassadors: Nicolò Renna, Chiara Benini Floriani, Giorgia Bertuzzi and Olympic champion Ruggero Tita.
