In the small Ladin world of the Dolomiti di Fassa

Feeling good in the World Heritage mountains

In Val di Fassa, everything seems to be perfect. The peaks are some of the most admired in the world, the meadows are vast, the villages pristine, from the building façades to the fountains of the piazze, everything speaks of care. A few small churches have spired bell towers, with the unmistakable roof covered with wooden shingles.

In Val di Fassa there are about 6,000 people who still speak Ladin, an expression of Fassa culture, which is proudly preserved in customs and clothing, in history and traditions, in architecture and also at the table. Try fortaes fassane, they are really delicious at the end of a meal or as a snack!

The Catinaccio with the Torri del Vajolet, the Latemar, and the Marmolada match the colours of sunrise and sunset so well. A full-fledged spectacle, which you can easily see even in autumn, because the funicular systems and mountain huts extend their opening hours.

Climbing up here feels good in itself, but if you combine it with yoga, trekking and mountain biking, you will experience total well-being, which is also ideal to prepare yourself for winter.

Towards the summit

Mountain huts and funicular systems extend their opening hours. You will discover how quiet the Dolomiti di Fassa are, when the air is cooler and the trails are less frequented.

Ideas for feeling good

Whether you are in company or on your own, these activities are so good for your body and mind that you will want to stay on the trails, among the peaks, and in the mountain huts of Val di Fassa for as long as possible!

From one mountain hut to another

“Dolomiti Trek-King d’autunno” is a proposal of Val di Fassa, which takes you from one mountain hut to another, from the Catinaccio to the Sassolungo. There is also an overnight stay in a village, find out where!
