When the sun goes down, from the windows of this refuge you can see not just the stars but also the lights going on in the Valle di Non below. And from Monte Peller - a 1-hour walk (difficulty E) - there are even more views. We are on the northern side of the Brenta, where the green of the meadows prevails over the white of the rocks, and the views are unbroken. The road from Cles is very long (17 kilometres), but you can drive up it. If you decide to do so, once you’re at up high you’ll be rewarded with stunning scenery, such as the vast plateau of the Val Nana, a tranquil place, essentially a mountain meadow, but also an open book for anyone able to read the history of the mountains (and glaciers) in the folds of the land. Open From 20 June to 20 September The rest of the year by prior arrangement Before leaving for your hike, always contact the manager to verify the actual opening of the mountain hut Walks The ascent of Monte Peller - which has a few stretches of cable to help you up - takes an hour. The circular route around Monte Peller by way of the Passo di Val Nana and the plateau takes 3 hours. The walk to Lake Tovel also takes 3 hours (difficulty E). Much more challenging is the Costanzi protected path along the northern slopes of the Brenta to Passo del Grostè; this is a route for experienced mountaineers, which is broken up into two days with an overnight stop in a bivouac hut.
