Trento and Monte Bondone

The Alpe di Trento is a treasure chest of natural wonders just a few kilometers from the city. In just under half an hour you are catapulted from the active and frenetic life of the valley floor to an environment made up of woods, meadows and peat bogs over which the three Peaks del Bondone watch over: Cornetto (2,180 m), Dos d'Abramo (2140 m) and Cima Verde (2,102 m).

From the ski area to the enchanting Viote plain, with the naturalistic jewel of the peat bog and paths with a spectacular 360° view up to the wild peaks of the Brenta Dolomites, Monte Bondone encloses an area of relatively small dimensions.

The ski area: 70 hectares of skiable surface, 20 kilometers of very wide slopes and an integral programmed snow system are just the beginning. A ski area with everything you need to give you the pleasure of a ski holiday on Monte Bondone.

Night & Day: Skiing at night on Monte Bondone is a unique experience. The starry sky above your head, the sea of city lights before your eyes. Twice a week, during the entire opening period of the lifts, Monte Bondone opens its turnstiles even at night, thanks to a new fixed lighting system with LED technology. An emotion that remains in the heart.

Gran Pista: The Gran Pista (Great Slope) ski slope is the most popular ski slopes of the Monte Bondone ski area: a wide and comfortable red ski slope, approximately 3.5 km long with an average gradient of 30%, the most technical and demanding. The view enjoyed from the Gran Pista is spectacular: surrounded by woods it offers a view of the Brenta Dolomites range. It is one of the most beautiful and renowned ski slopes in Trentino. The Rocce Rosse ski lift is a comfortable 4-seater chairlift that covers the 800 meters of altitude in just a few minutes, managing to transport up to 1500 people/hour.

The Conca delle Viote, at 1,565 meters above sea level, is recognized as a paradise for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing, among the rich alpine vegetation at the foot of the Three Peaks of Monte Bondone. With snowshoes it is possible to explore the most remote corners of the area and discover incredible panoramic views towards the Brenta Dolomite mountains. Large areas for sledding complete the offer for the whole family.

Cross-country skiing, or Nordic skiing, is a fascinating winter sport. Contact with nature, personal challenges, long distances and different landscapes to discover: it's a different, slower way of renewing your love for the mountains and the snow. The Viote Cross Country Center offers 37 kilometers of slopes for free and classic technique and 4.5 km of pedestrian path across the entire sunny valley, with many associated services: equipment rental, refreshments and a high quality standard for one of the most popular centers in the region.

SuperNordicSkipass: it is the first and largest Italian circuit for cross-country skiing. A single ski pass allows you to cover a thousand kilometers of slopes in Trentino, Veneto and Emilia Romagna. All centers offer rental services and there is the possibility of improving your technique with the numerous ski schools.

Snowshoeing: To discover the Viote basin in winter, the best way is to slip on a pair of snowshoes and start walking through the woods, meadows and erratic boulders below the grandiose coral amphitheater of the "Three Peaks of Bondone." Snowshoeing is a perfect way to enjoy the silence and quiet of the white expanses of snow and is possible either on your own or by taking advantage of activities for adults and children organized by the Tourist Board.
