An interesting alternative to traditional canederli in broth is the Monte PDO cheese canederli on the menu.
A landmark in Lessinia Trentina since 1963, the restaurant was opened by Laura and Giuseppe Trainotti first as a bar and then as a restaurant and small hotel. Today it is managed with the same loving care as in the past by his son Paolo and his family. The restaurant offers typical Trentino cuisine, with local products and from nearby Veneto, and presents an alternative to the traditional canederli in broth (the classic gnocchi di malga), namely Monte D.O.P. cheese canederli. Then there are the black truffle tagliatelle from Lessinia, the "carne salà" from Vallagarina and of course the apple strudel, strictly homemade, still following "Grandma Laura's recipe".
