Ristorante Il Catenaccio
The restaurant is located in what were once former stables and boasts the simple, traditional style of mountain areas
The restaurant ...
Built in a set of former stables personally restored by the owner - Antonio Rimmaudo - Ristorante Il Catenaccio has the simple, traditional style of the mountains, which is what makes it so special. Barrel vaults follow one upon the other in its three rooms. The restaurant's larger two can seat up to twenty-eight guests, while the smaller one can host a dozen persons. Furthermore, the restaurant's wood furnishings have been specifically selected to evoke the feeling of an old-fashioned restaurant.
The restaurateur...
Before becoming a restaurateur, Antonio Rimmaudo sampled a variety of different jobs, ranging from bookkeeper to factory worker. Then, a few years ago, he turned his dream of opening a restaurant into a reality. His restaurant reflects his personality. It is simple and determined. "It might not be the most beautiful, but there are none like it around here," says Antonio. Simplicity is the key in the kitchen as well. As he declares, "a few things, but made well." The restaurant serves his famed risottos - four or five are always on offer - as well as his meat dishes, cooked exclusively the moment they are ordered.
