Mario Brunello, Gevorg Dabaghyan
Special Project
Music that relays history, tradition and sacredness will echo across the peaks of the Brenta Dolomites, in the event that best embodies the spirit of I Suoni delle Dolomiti (The Sounds of the Dolomites). During the event, you can go trekking and experience what it feels like to be suspended between nature and music, between an intimate focus on oneself and sharing, between exertion and relaxation.
The Brenta Dolomites play host to and perfectly chime with this special project by Mario Brunello and Gevorg Dabaghyan. The project interlaces cello notes with the atmosphere evoked by the Duduk, a reed instrument made of apricot wood which harks back to the Armenian musical tradition, of which Dabaghyan is a foremost representative. The melodies are rooted in the thousand-year-old history of Armenian music, with historic European influences.
