Val del Ri
Fixed rope route
Val del Ri
Challenging but short and easily accessible via ferrata, just a stone's throw from the village of Mezzolombardo.
The route, suitable for experienced hikers, begins from the upper part of the town of Mezzolombardo, at the tower called Toresela, where the new Suspension Bridge is located. With its 130 meters of span, it is one of the longest in Italy. From here, the equipped path ascends the most vertical part of Val del Rì alongside its stream, overcoming its gorges and waterfalls with ladders, ropes, and small Tibetan bridges. The via ferrata ends at the flat area where the fire pit of the Rotaliano Mycological Group is located; from here, it is possible to take the trail that descends back to the starting point or to reach Fai della Paganella through a moderately inclined forest path.
