Tour of Cimbrian Imagery

A route especially popular with families with children, inspired by the fantastic world of the Cimbri.

Numerous wood carvings and illustrative panels along the route tell of the characters that populate the local tradition amidst corners of nature, forests, pastures and panoramas. The snow lends a touch of magic to this themed trail inspired by fantastic characters from Cimbrian history and culture such as Frau Pertega and Tüsele Marüsele. One walks through forests and pastures with the culture of the Cimbrian people of Luserna/Lusérn, a linguistic island, witness to a centuries-old history. A ring of about 7 km, to be comfortably covered in a couple of hours, with a slight difference in height It crosses the section in the middle of the forest with the basilisk-dragon, leading to the alpine pond with the bear sculpture, until you reach Malga Campo where you can stop and taste simple, genuine dishes. From here we set off again across an expanse of flower-filled fields and at the edge of the wood we come across the panel explaining the legend of the Sambinelo, an elf dressed in red who manifested himself to a woman, making her wander for a whole day until she got lost... The spirits of the forest often recur in local tales (and not only): a symbol of times gone by, they may or may not help the inhabitants, but it is always a good idea to keep them quiet and grant them what they ask for, so as not to end up dealing with spitefulness.
