Reflections of nature at San Pellegrino Lake
Take your time. Just over 1,000 metres is the perimeter of the path around the lake, but in its waters you can read the entire geography of the valley as you breathe it on the banks.
Here, at 1,900 metres, on the eastern border of Trentino, on the pass that took its name from the friars of San Pellegrino, passage of soldiers and front of battles, this lake gives well-being and amplifies beauty in all seasons. Along its path, embellished with wooden sculptures, you cross bridges and footbridges. Above all, in its waters, depending on the light and the shadows drawn by the turn of the sun, you recognise in a blue and green mirror the ridges of Costabella and Col Margherita, Cima Juribrutto and even Cima Uomo. As you walk, you may realise that your pace slows down to give you time to look but, above all, to breathe in the scent of larch, stone pine and mugo pine. You search your eyes for the tracks of the forest animals and the colours of the juniper branches, a fundamental ingredient of Ladin tradition. And, once the tour is over, you feel like continuing to stroll, at a gentle pace, through the green Fuciade basin.
